Description générale

PBX2 is a homeobox transcription factor that shares homology with the human proto-oncogene, PBX1. Studies have reported that PBX2 forms triple complexes with HOXA9 and MEIS1 in myeloid cells.
Rabbit Anti-PBX2 (AB2) antibody recognizes pig, human, mouse, and rat PBX2.

Immunogène

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human PBX2

Application

Rabbit Anti-PBX2 (AB2) antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.5μg/ml.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

PBX2 is a ubiquitously expressed member of the TALE/PBX homeobox family. PBX2 gene was identified by its similarity to a homeobox gene which is involved in t(1;19) translocation in acute pre-B-cell leukemias. PBX2 is a transcriptional activator which binds to the TLX1 promoter. This gene encodes a ubiquitously expressed member of the TALE/PBX homeobox family. It was identified by its similarity to a homeobox gene which is involved in t(1;19) translocation in acute pre-B-cell leukemias. This protein is a transcriptional activator which binds to the TLX1 promoter. The gene is located within the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) on chromosome 6.This gene encodes a ubiquitously expressed member of the TALE/PBX homeobox family. Aberrant activation of the HOX, MEIS, and PBX homeodomain protein families is associated with leukemias, and retrovirally driven coexpression of HOXA9 and MEIS1 is sufficient to induce myeloid leukemia in mice. Previous studies have demonstrated that HOX-9 and HOX-10 paralog
