Gene Information

human ... EPHB1(2047)

General description

Anti-EPHB1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total EPHB1 protein.
EPHB1(ephrin type-B receptor 1) belongs to the Eph gene family of receptor tyrosine kinases. It is present in venous endothelial cells during embryonic development to adulthood. It is located on human chromosome 3q22.2.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human EPHB1/2/3.

Immunogen Range: 631-680

Biochem/physiol Actions

EPHB1(ephrin type-B receptor 1) participates in carcinogenesis of RCC (renal cell carcinoma). It plays a major role in the growth of nervous and vascular system. It acts as a biomarker for squamous cell/adenosquamous carcinomas and adenocarcinomas of the gallbladder.
