General description

Nudix hydrolase 16 like 1 (NUDT16L1) protein belongs to a nucleoside diphosphate-linked moiety X (Nudix) hydrolases family. It is also known as TIRR (tudor interacting repair regulator), which specifically interacts with the ionizing radiation induced foci formation (IRIF) region of P53 binding protein 1 (53BP1). NUDT16L1 gene is located on human chromosome 16p13.3.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human NUDT16L1

Biochem/physiol Actions

Nudix hydrolase 16 like 1 (NUDT16L1) repairs double strand breaks by masking the histone methyl-lysine binding function of P53 binding protein 1 (53BP1). NUDT16L1 acts as an inhibitor of 53BP1.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: LNRVLGLGLGCLRLTEADYLSSHLTEGPHRVVAHLYARQLTLEQLHAVEI

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
