  • End Group Functionality: RAFT
  • No. Surface Groups: 6
  • Calculated Mol. Wt.: 2050.7 g/mol
  • bis-MPA = 2,2-Bis(hydroxymethyl)propionic acid

Application

Bis-MPA dendritic molecules are based on 2,2-bismethylolpropionicacid (bis-MPA) building blocks. The hydrolysable linkers presented in this type of polymers allow their degradation into byproducts that can be reabsorbed by the body or into excretable non-toxic small molecules. Therefore, this group of dendritic polymers is biocompatible and biodegradable, making them suitable for biomedical applications.
The corona of this product is functionalized with RAFT agents, which allow direct controlled polymerization from the dendrimer surface. It can be readily used to construct multi-arm polymer structure using suitable acrylic monomers.
