Gene Information

human ... MMP15(4324)

General description

Anti-MMP-15 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total MMP-15 protein.
Matrix metallopeptidase 15 (MMP-15) is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome l Iq22.2-22.3. The encoded protein belongs to the membrane-type matrix metalloproteinases (MT-MMPs).

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human MMP-15.

Immunogen Range: 611-660

Biochem/physiol Actions

Frovatriptan is a serotonin 5HT-1B/1D-receptor agonist.
Matrix metallopeptidase 15 (MMP-15) is implicated in the activation of pro-MMP-2 and pro-MMP-13. It is also facilitates tumor necrosis factor a processing. MMP-15 might promote various types of cancer progression, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In addition, it also promotes gastric cancer (GC) invasion and metastasis. Thus, this protein can be used as a potent prognostic marker for GC patients.
