Gene Information

human ... MLF2(8079)

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human MLF2

Application

Anti-MLF2 (AB1) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 0.25μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

MLF2 gene encodes for myeloid leukemia factor 2, which is a ubiquitously expressed, 248 amino acid containing protein. MLF2 gene locus mapped on human chromosome 12p13. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in MLF2 gene serves as a marker for selecting coccidiosis resistance in chickens. Additionally, changes in the MLF2 expression facilitates as novel mechanisms of action of flavonoids at the molecular level.

Sequence

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: WRRETSRFRQQRPLEFRRLESSGAGGRRAEGPPRLAIQGPEDSPSRQSRR

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
