General description
Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the body to regulate bone growth. Vitamin D3 is most commonly found in humans and animals and is produced in our skin when exposed to sunlight. It is used to treat and prevent bone disorders (such as rickets, osteomalacia).
Vitamin D3-25,26,27-13C3 is an isotope of vitamin D3 wherein C-25, C-26, C-27 carbons are replaced by 13C6 isotope.
