Biochem/physiol Actions

Cell penetrant and potent global inhibitor of cellular glycosylation that induces reversible Golgi fragmentation.
NSC255112 is a cell penetrant and potent global inhibitor of cellular glycosylation that induces reversible Golgi fragmentation. NSC80997 affects both initiation and elongation of O-glycosylation in ways not directly dependent on GalNAc-T11. NSC255112 induces Tn antigen expression in human cell lines. It also reduces cell surface heparan sulfate a necessary factor for SARS-CoV-2 infection.
