The gene FRMD7 (FERM domain containing 7) is mapped to human chromosome Xq27. The encoded FERM-domain containing protein is found to be expressed in the ventricular layer of the forebrain, midbrain, cerebellar primordium, spinal cord and the developing neural retina of human embryo.

Anti-FRMD7 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . FERM domain-containing protein 7 is a protein encoded by the FRMD7 gene in humans. Restricted expression of FRMD7 in human is found in embryonic brain and developing neural retina and may have a role in the control of eye movement and gaze stability. The gene is linked to Idiopathic congenital nystagmus (ICN), which is a genetically heterogeneous disease.
