This building block is prepared from highly purified PEG to ensure homogeneous products free from contaminating PEG oligomers. It can be introduced using standard coupling methods, such as PyBOP^® or TBTU. Removal of the Boc group can be effected with TFA. The use of HF should be avoided as this reagent can promote breakdown of the PEG.
