Target description
Folic acid, also known as folate or vitamin B9 plays a crucial role in nucleotide synthesis, and red blood cells. It is an essential nutrient for the early growth and development of the fetal neural tube, potentially reducing the risk of neural tube defects in newborns. In addition to its role in pregnancy, folic acid is important for overall cell growth and metabolism, and it may help reduce the risk of certain birth defects and support heart health. Deficiencies can lead to anemia, poor growth, and various other health issues.
Physical form
Purified mouse monoclonal antibody IgG1 in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide.
