General description
About the material:
High quality, low endotoxin Lithium phenyl-2,4,6-trimethylbenzoylphosphinate (LAP) photoinitiator
Crosslinking parameters:
*Suitable for polymerizing bioinks, hydrogels, and other polymeric materials
* Photocrosslinking at 405 nm (visible light)
The low endotoxin TissueFab® LAP photoinitiator is a cytocompatible, Type I photoinitator utilized for the polymerization of water-soluble hydrogels, bioinks, and other polymeric materials. It is preferred in biological applications over other photoinitatiors such as Irgacure 2959 (I2959) due to its superior water solubility, faster poymerization kinetics, and absorption at 405nm which allows for photocrosslinking under more cell-friendly conditions. The TissueFab® LAP photoinitiator is optimized for cell viability, with an endotoxin level below 50 EU/ml, making it ideal for a variety of biomedical applications.
Application
*3D cell encapsulation and cell culture
*Hydrogels
*Medical device coatings
* Drug delivery vehicles
Features and Benefits
Sensitive to Visible Light: Allows for polymerization with visible light, offering versatility beyond traditional UV light sources. Faster Polymerization Kinetics: Enables quicker cell encapsulation compared to alternatives, crucial for efficient bioprinting processes.
