General description
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds. The high concentration of Dextrose, along with the low pH promotes the growth of yeast and molds, the formation of spores (conidia and sporangia), and the formation of pigments of yeasts and molds.
Application
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is designed for the determination of the total count of yeasts and molds. It is suitable for the microbiological examination of non-sterile products.
Features and Benefits
Our ready to use media provide the highest level of quality and testing confidence. They have been formulated and tested to meet the pharmacopoeia requirements. Our media are manufactured in an ISO 9001, environmentally controlled production center. Each lot undergoes a stringent quality control (QC) procedure, including pH, sterility and growth promotion tests. Our manufacturing approach ensures the highest level of clarity for our media and rinsing fluids, therefore improving accuracy and significantly reducing the risk of incorrect interpretation and false results.
